Education - Key for Building a Developed Nation
The National Center for Vocational Training (NACVOT) in Sawa recently graduated 2792 students in 18 different vocational fields. Together with the skilled human resources being produced by the various colleges and institutions in the country, this figure clearly shows that the national plan for increasing the number of skilled citizens is right on track. Moreover, the fact that the trainees come from all corners of the country and that 50% of them are women is a reflection of the Eritrean government's commitment to providing equal opportunities for all citizens. Indeed, if a citizen is to work hard so as to benefit from the nation's resources and contribute to the nation-building process then it is imperative that he/she receive proper training and acquire a skill that promotes further innovation.
